July 25, 2014 Blanche Machelm-Murphy

Every year, the Mail & Guardian scours the country to find noteworthy and newsworthy young South Africans to profile in its annual 200 Young South Africans publication. A flagship of the M&G stable, this list has become the country's most celebrated hallmark of the up-and-coming generation, a who's who of young people at the top of their field in 10 categories – arts and culture, business, civil society, environment, health, media, politics, science and education, sport and technology. The Mail & Guardian, through this project, paints a picture of where South Africa is going as a country.

The year 2014 saw our founder, Jeanine Benjamin, listed among these inspiring young South Africans. To read her profile, click here
